Abstract

This essay seeks to analyse the development strategies adopted in Bolivia of Evo Morales (2006-present) and how they impact the strategies of international insertion of the country. After a long neoliberal cycle focused on the privatization of public enterprises and attracting international capital, the country has turned into a model of state control of its strategic resources and industrialization of these induced by the State associated with foreign capital of diversified origin where the development of the domestic market and national development plans serving north investments. This model has been providing robust and sustained growth rates and reduce poverty/inequality and seems to lead the government toward a second time of international integration strategy in which a larger role in international fora is sought international recognition of the assumptions success model.
