Abstract

One of the recurrent question that social movements scholars have formulated in the Andean Region, is related to the causes of the inexistence of an indigenous movement in Peru-along the second half of the XX century-that could have fought for not only their identity but also for their nationhood. In this article we will examine the historical, political and cultural paths that could explain such absence.
