The research analyzes the discourses and imaginaries of nation produce and reproduce through the country brand "Ecuador Loves Life". The reflection is framed in the concept of nationalism to (re) think the (re) configuration of the State and its insertion in the new political and economic scenarios of globalization. The objective of investigation the sense that the government of the Citizens’ Revolution granted to national identity, and the claim of the material and symbolic values of the nation through the country brand, is to understand if this process is aligned with the guidelines of the global market, or it is an exercise of nationalism.
