The article discusses some features that characterize the state of political sciences currently produced on the island. These features are analyzed from recent approaches on Cuban political reality –texts and interview– made by academics and public intellectuals –residents on the island and linked to institutions–. These approaches give us a theoretical and empirically grounded understanding of the future of the nation.
